LIVINGSTON LABSAI FOR EVERY CHILD
A research lab with a single aim: prove AI can be the highest-leverage intervention in the history of education. We build open curriculum, assessment frameworks, and run classroom efficacy pilots — all openly published.
AI LITERACY FOR EVERY CHILD
What should every child know and be able to do with AI by age twelve? Three workstreams to teach it, measure it, and prove it works.

Open Curriculum
A modular, age-staged AI literacy curriculum: how AI works, how to direct it, how to question it, and how to use it ethically. Free and openly licensed.
- ▸Age-staged modules (ages 5–12+)
- ▸How AI works · how to direct it
- ▸How to question it · ethical use
- ▸Free, openly licensed, adaptable

Assessment Framework
Validated instruments that measure what children actually learn: AI comprehension, effective use, critical evaluation, and ethical reasoning.
- ▸AI comprehension measures
- ▸Effective use evaluation
- ▸Critical evaluation rubrics
- ▸Ethical reasoning assessment

Efficacy Pilots
Classroom studies, run as randomized trials where possible and published regardless of result, measuring learning gains against control groups.
- ▸Randomized classroom trials
- ▸Control-group comparison
- ▸Published regardless of result
- ▸Open dataset for researchers
Curriculum v1 · Assessment framework v1 · One pilot study with published results · An open dataset for the research community.
A CRISIS THAT CANNOT SCALE
The global education crisis is well documented. The traditional model cannot reach the children who need it most — and AI has entered every classroom on earth with no standards, no curriculum, and no agreed definition of what children should learn.

The children who learn to work with AI will shape the future. The children who do not will be shaped by it.

REAL STUDENTS. REAL CLASSROOMS.
Livingston Labs grows directly out of CodeForce, a STEAM academy teaching coding, robotics, and AI to children through a visual learning curriculum that has drawn ed-tech press attention.
CodeForce gives the lab something most research efforts lack: a living lab of real students and real classrooms where curricula can be taught, measured, and refined in rapid cycles before wider trials.
- 01Build the curriculum and the yardstick.
- 02Prove efficacy in the living lab and partner classrooms.
- 03Publish everything openly so districts, ministries, and researchers can adopt and extend the work.
