About Livingston Labs
Livingston Labs is a research lab with a single aim: point artificial intelligence at the global education problem and prove it can be the highest-leverage intervention in the history of education. We believe AI should prepare children to be the best versions of themselves: curious, capable, and equipped to use the most powerful tool humanity has ever built, ethically and effectively.
The lab grows directly out of CodeForce, a STEAM academy teaching coding, robotics, and AI to children. CodeForce gives the lab a living lab of real students and real classrooms where curricula can be taught, measured, and refined in rapid cycles before wider trials.
The founder is a technology executive with 21+ years of leadership including CTO roles and production AI systems experience, leading the lab nights and weekends until grant funding supports a full-time transition. An advisory board of learning scientists and educators will be recruited alongside the first grants.
Livingston Labs will launch under fiscal sponsorship, giving it nonprofit grant eligibility within weeks rather than the six to twelve months an independent 501(c)(3) determination requires, with a planned spin-out to an independent nonprofit once funded.
